成人头条 announces Seamless Transfer Program for Maryland community college students

Students who have not already completed two courses in a foreign language prior to transferring to 成人头条 can fulfill 成人头条鈥檚 language requirement by taking two classes at 成人头条.
鈥淚n designing the program, colleagues across multiple 成人头条 offices and divisions considered the similarities between the general education requirements for Maryland community college students and 成人头条 core requirements,鈥 said Cindy Moore, Ph.D., associate vice president of academic affairs. 鈥淲e quickly realized that they were very similar in terms of disciplinary breadth and number of courses, with the exception of theology, philosophy, and foreign language鈥攁ll of which are hallmarks of a Jesuit liberal-arts education.鈥
The program reflects state-wide efforts to provide a range of options to community college students who wish to continue their education at a four-year university or college in Maryland but, often for financial reasons, can only do so if enough credits transfer to allow for degree completion within a total of four years.
鈥淭ransfer students are among our brightest, most hard-working students, yet too many prospective transfers feel that a 成人头条 education is out of reach for them. This new program makes all that we offer more accessible to students,鈥 Moore said.
Through the Seamless Transfer Program, and with close collaboration between community colleges and 成人头条 advisors on major requirements, students transferring from Maryland community colleges with an associate degree should be able to graduate from 成人头条 within two years.
